Getting closer to the big day...

Our time to departure is quickly approaching. We still need to rent the house and we are still working on getting sponsors. We will be doing some photography for a couple manufacturers... they don't know this yet... but they will. Maggie moved in in June. That has saved us a few expenses to be applied to the trip. We are also going to sell a few items on Ebay. Stuff we really don't need or want ... couple of nice things actually. Anyone need some antiques, a mountain bike, TV, other stuff? Also, if you know someone moving to Denver and needs a place for a year, have them send me an e-mail to Todd Collins.
While things are on track (except for sponsors and business clients needing photos in unique locations), getting ready has been a little stressful. We have all of our shots taken care of, and we have gotten our initial flights. Maggie has informed her employer, but I have not. I will let them know when we get closer to leaving. The idea of taking off for a year floors most of the people that we have told. We certainly have some concerns, but life is made of experiences and risks. This is simply one we will regret not taking.
Maggie and I have talked at length about marriage... Our one year dating anniversary was on September 1st and we are still going strong. While our views on marriage vary, the overall views on what make a good relationship are very much the same. Several people have said that this trip will certainly stretch our relationship and if we make it through the trip intact, there is not reason we shouldn't get married. So maybe we will invite all our family and friends to Tulum for a vacation and some nuptials ... we plan to be in Tulum at the end of the trip - early December of 2005. We will keep you all posted.
